Magda Papierz - Artistic DirecComposer, singer, and actress Magda received her formal piano training at the Conservatory of Music, followed by a diploma from the School of Performing Arts in Opole, from which she graduated with honors in Vocal and Drama. In Mavo Academy, Magda not only skillfully directs and manages the school, but also teaches drama. Magda has many artistic achievements, such as producing and directing innovative radio program “Piosenki Magdalenki” and children’s puppet theater “Bajka. For the past 17 years she has served as artistic director and main performer of award-winning Polish-Canadian cabaret “Pod Banka” in Toronto, which has performed with great success in Canada, the USA and Poland. Miro Polatynski Drama Teacher
Graduated from the National Film, TV & Theatre Academy in Lodz, where he studied acting. In 2007 he also graduated from the Centre of Film and Theatre at York University in Toronto, where he studied directing. In both departments he holds Master of Fine Arts. In 2008 he founded Culture and Theatre Institution called "ATLAS Stage Productions Canada", where he fulfils his theatre production and creates various projects with the help of other professionals to build its foundation. This development bonds and builds further mutual relations between various countries and cultures in the field of promoting theatre and film arts, along with the exchange of experiences upon acting and directing craftsmanship. His work as an outstanding actor extends to around eighty principal, lead and supporting roles being presented in Poland and abroad (England, Republic of Czech, Belarus and Canada). He takes part in various film productions in Poland and Canada. He translates Canadian productions into Polish language and promotes Canadian playwrights, which are welcomed with huge enthusiasm in Poland. Furthermore, he has substantial teaching experience in the areas of acting and directing as supported by his work in Poland (his own studio), Germany (Film und Theater Athanorakademie) and Canada (York University). In between 2000-2003 he had three nominations for the Gold Mask Actor's Award and in 2003 he received Actor's Prize in "Fantazy" by J. Slowacki at the Theatre Festival "Polish Classical Works" in Opole. His renowned career has seen him in dozen or so directing projects including Polish Theatre in Warsaw and other cities. Since 2004 he is an active member of ACTRA - the largest group of performers within Canada's national performers' union. Kinga Mitrowska Vocal Teacher
Born in Montréal, graduated with distinction from the F.Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw. Engaged by the Warsaw State Opera sung numerous leading roles. Winning the Gold Medal at the Maria Canals vocal competition in Barcelona, she went on to win prizes and distinction at festivals in New York, Prague, Montreal, Vienna and Tokyo. In Canada, Kinga continued her acclaimed successes with lead performances with the Toronto Operetta and Opera in Concert. In 2005, she was decorated with the Medal of Merit by the Polish Ministry of Culture and nominated with Quartetto Gelato for the Gemini Award. In 2008 the Government of Ontario honoured Kinga with High Awards for propagation of Polish culture in Canada. The past few years Kinga has begun teaching. She has an understanding of every individual voice its fragility and that it must be treated with the outmost care and professionalism. Her students are recipients of many vocal awards.
Iwona Saran Piano Teacher
Obtained her Music Degree in Piano Performance end Education at McMaster University. She have won several scholarships and awards , and graduated with Distincion. Her goal as piano and music theory teacher is not only to instruct a student, but to create an appreciation for music.
